[DeFi] DeFi Protocol
Description
DeFi (Decentralized Finance) protocols are financial service systems operating on blockchain technology without centralized intermediaries. They enable automated financial transactions through smart contracts, allowing users to maintain direct control over their assets while accessing diverse financial services like lending, deposits, trading, and insurance anywhere globally. This addresses issues in traditional financial systems such as lack of transparency, limited accessibility, and high fees, enabling anyone with an internet connection to access financial services.
Examples include decentralized exchanges (DEX), lending and borrowing protocols, stablecoin protocols, derivatives and synthetic asset protocols, yield farming and liquidity provision protocols, and insurance protocols.
